Some milestones are more than just celebrations. They hold the weight of everything it took to get there—the quite hope, the heartbreak, the waiting, the perseverance. 

Jonah's baby shower was exactly that. 

After four years of try9ing, and a long road through IVF, we finally found ourselves standing in a room surrounded with love, honoring the baby we had dreamed of for so long. The theme was 'An Answered Prayer', because that's exactly what this day—and this baby—represented to us. 

We wanted the atmosphere to feel peaceful and deeply personal, with soft blues, whites and neutrals throughout the space. We opted for an intimate dinner rather than the norm in an effort to truly celebrate each and every person who was there to share this moment with us. The details mattered—floral arrangements with meaning, cloud-inspired cake design, and menus tucked into linen napkins with subtle nods to the journey that brought us here.

It wasn't a big event, and it didn't need to be. It felt intimate, warm, and full of emotion—surrounded by people who had walked through he highs and lows with us, and whose presence made the day feel whole.

There was something about the way the light hit the room, the way the air felt still. The feeling of my Mom with us in spirit. It was the kind of feeling that grounds you. That reminds you to pause. To really take it in. The sense of closeness with those physically there with us and those celebrating from above—feeling thankful and comforted. 

The celebration was beautiful, but more than that—it was meaningful. It was about honoring our journey. Celebrating the little boy who changed everything. And reflecting on just how far we've come.
